Virtualairhygge is a virtual airline based at virtualsirhygge.com, offering a unique experience that emphasizes the theme of 'togetherness'. The name 'hygge' is an olde Norse word, signifying unity among the five regional airlines that belong to this virtual airline. These regions include Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, and the Faroe Islands. The flights are operated using smaller yet fun and enjoyable aircraft like the BN2P Islander and the Twin Otter types, and even larger ones like the Airbus A320 Boeing 737. We use the Acars module of PHPVMS as well as the excellent 'DISPOSABLE HERO' add ons to provide our customers with an exciting flying experience. The airline offers three types of flights: domestic, group, and regional. Our customers can enjoy exclusive experiences, such as flying from Westray to Papa Westray, which is known as the world's shortest commercial flight, and flights to and from Barra Airport, where the runway is a beach.
