A look back at the past few weeks at Pagani Air Cargo

United States of AmericaBy Pagani Air Cargo

Pagani Air Cargo

Hi everyone, Joseph here, founder of Pagani Air Cargo.

When I started PAC, I wanted a cargo airline that felt real. Not just "fly from A to B," but the paperwork, the planning and the people behind every flight. The past few weeks have been some of the busiest since we opened, so I wanted to share what we've been up to.

Listening to our pilots

A lot of what we built started as a message from a pilot. Someone asked why their experience at other airlines didn't count, so now it does: you can send us your verified hours from another VA or from VATSIM/IVAO, and we credit half of them, up to 75 hours, towards your rank.

You still earn Captain here, but nobody with real experience has to start from zero.

Another pilot showed me that their SimBrief numbers never matched their aircraft. That one bugged me, so now every pilot can plan with their own SimBrief airframe, even a different one for MSFS and X-Plane if you fly the same type in both. Our Felis 747-200F finally plans with real freighter weights, too.

Helping new pilots

Some of our newest crew had never flown an airliner before, which is exactly who I want to welcome. Our free PAC Academy now takes you through a full 737 flight using Boeing-based flows: startup, taxi, takeoff and climb, and everything from landing to shutdown.

Every step shows you the exact switch. It's open to anyone at pac-va.com/academy, member or not.

Our own ACARS

PAC ACARS 1.1 brought a live moving map, a landing debrief after every touchdown and a practice mode for landings. And yes, there were a few bumps getting the in-app updates right. Thank you to everyone who stuck with me through those. It updates itself smoothly now.

A home for the crew

Our Discord got a big makeover. New members get a proper welcome, the butter board celebrates the smoothest landings, and every Monday our bot posts the week's highlights: flights, the best landing, most hours, promotions and new pilots.

What hasn't changed

We're still a small, friendly airline, and that's on purpose. PAC flies 11 freighter types from the 727 to the 777F, on MSFS and X-Plane, online on VATSIM or IVAO or offline. Whether it's your first airliner or your thousandth hour, there's a seat for you up front.

If you've been thinking about joining, now's a great time. We're still recruiting founding pilots, and I'd love for you to help shape where PAC goes next.

See you on the ramp,

Joseph Pagani
