This policy explains how VA-List.com ("we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on va-list.com ("the Website"), and the choices you have.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet). They let the website recognise your device, keep you logged in and remember your choices.
2. Cookies we use
Necessary cookies. The Website does not work without them, so they cannot be switched off:
- valist: keeps you logged in and protects our forms. It is set only when you log in or fill in a form, and it is deleted when you close the browser.
- valist_ricordami: set only if you tick "Keep me logged in for 30 days". It lasts 30 days, and logging out deletes it.
- valist_statistiche: remembers your choice about visit statistics for 6 months.
- Cloudflare cookies, such as __cf_bm: Cloudflare delivers and protects the Website from automated traffic. They last up to 30 minutes. The security check on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) works in the same way.
Your preferences. If you choose the light or dark theme, the choice is saved in your browser (local storage, "valist-tema"). It is never sent to us.
Statistics, as you choose. Google Analytics counts visits: pages, device and approximate area, never your name or email. Its cookies (_ga) last up to 2 years. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it runs only if you accept in the banner; elsewhere it runs unless you refuse. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. VA-List shows no ads.
3. Third-party content
Google sets and reads the statistics cookies described above: see how Google uses information from sites that use its services and how Google uses cookies.
Some airline banners and images are loaded from the airlines' own websites. Those websites may set their own cookies: we do not control them, so please read their privacy policies.
4. Your choices
Besides "Cookie settings", you can set your browser to refuse cookies or to warn you when they are sent. If you block the necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in. To learn how to control or delete cookies, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Website or the law changes. Changes are published on this page with a new date.
