Alaska Air Virtual (AAv) was established in 2017, sought to closely simulate the merger of Alaska Airlines & Virgin America in 2016 to include real world routes and associated aircraft type. It is important to note we are not associated or affiliated with any real-world airline. In 2023 Alaska Air sunsetted the last cultural component of Virgin America such as retiring Airbus aircraft...Farewell Redwood! AAv has since pivoted to simulate the modernized rebranding and direction; As of February 2023 we now fly Alaska Airlines as well as the partners within the One World Alliance, which has further diversified and enriched our flight schedules! AAv attracts and is filled with flight simulating enthusiast/pilots on the FS9, FSX/SE, P3D MSFS2020 and X-plane platform. AAv doesn't embrace traditional overly strict VA rules; our culture is about having fun, safety, learning, and flying what you want, when you want, and where you want! Our ACARS is featured packed from delivering detail flight logs, WX on demand, music, flight grading matrix and of course automated PIREPs...Challenge yourself as you explore the world!Overall, the Alaska Airlines acquisition with Virgin America will always be apart of our history and has allowed AAv to dominate the West Coast of the U.S. As of 2021, joining the One World Alliance has propelled us internationally!
