I’ve recently joined American Virtual, and it’s been an incredible experience so far. The community is friendly and supportive, which made my transition smooth and enjoyable. The training resources are top-notch, providing clear guidance for new pilots like myself. I appreciate the structured progression system and the variety of routes available. The events and competitions are a lot of fun and add an extra layer of excitement. Overall, I’m really impressed with this VA and look forward to many more flights with them. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to join a virtual airline.

I have Been with the VA for just over half a year now. A strong and friendly community full of different real aviation backgrounds. They just introduced a dispatch system that enhances the flying sim experience. You must however complete a mandatory academy to be a part of this VA community ... While as frustrating as it can be for some including a few IRL friends that wanted to join, the academy is worth the work. It is not too complicated and helps get you started without feeling completely lost whether you have experience or no experience. It also helps filter out annoying trolls which means this VA is not toxic at all. Learn, enhance your hobby and give them a try. It is a good time. Oh yeah .... and one other thing ....We have routes for ..... THE MADDOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!1!12!2!@!!!!11!!!

Having flown several VAs in the last few years, I am always looking forward to seeing global schedules, an active community, an incentive to do your best, tied with a realistic system that sets standards and rules like a real airline does, AAVA has it all, not to mention exclusive features like type ratings, featured destinations, hub challenges/competitions, but also heritage routes for you old-timer airliner enjoyers like me! I participate in several VAs, but for the ones that are straight commercial flights (not cargo etc.) American Virtual is one of my favorites. If there is one thing I do feel they are weak on it is the tours, so if that is your thing you will not find a lot here. Part of the reason will be the focus on realism versus enjoyment. I get my creative tour fix at other VAs but if I want straight up flying for American, this VA is hard to beat.

American Virtual truly has the best community, which pairs very well with the really luxurious treatment with our custom ACARS system, the grind to become captain (and higher), and a lot more. American Virtual has awesome management, fun competitions, and at heart, we are all a family together. I LOVE this V.A., and I am glad to be a part of it :)

I came across American Virtual a few weeks into searching for a VA. I was looking for something to give my virtual pilot career a bit more meaning. After trying several career mode apps, and other virtual airlines, I am incredibly pleased that I found this VA. The leadership here is highly active, and there are always a lot of active pilots flying at any time of the day. There is a structured on-boarding ‘training’ that I found to be extremely helpful. It would be nice if they had more practical tutorials to go along with the theory, but nevertheless I found the whole on-boarding process to be quite enjoyable. I learned a ton of information that I would not have otherwise. American has so many routes and destinations, it would take years to fly them all. They also have an active and friendly community on discord (After the On-Boarding Process). Overall, I am happy and pleased to have found a great community of simmers and a place where I can finally call home.

This is the only VA I belong to. There is a wide variety of aircraft and routes - not just AAL mainline, but also all the American Eagle regionals and One World partners such as British Airways, Cathay, and Qantas. There are endless possibilities for keeping yourself busy and never bored! I love the weekly Featured Destinations - fly there and you get bonus hours. The Discord community is active and a great source of advice and camaraderie.

I was a bit skeptical about this whole VA thing, but deciding to join AAVA was the right decision. I have been extremely impressed with the entire process from the training to crew operations. I was taken back by their organization and professionalism. I’m a very happy to be a member.

The best virtual airline! Management is engaged with pilot population constantly to encourage growth, professionalism and skills especially there hands on training. there are also real pilots and ATC personnel in this VA and they give vital feedback to the management to make this VA More realistic to it counterpart IRL.

I’m new to the whole virtual airline Shabang and all but these guys have been great, from interactions up the chain of command to just average Joe pilots such as my self it has been really cool. They have events pretty consistently and make sure we all have fun, as for flight operations and SOP’s it’s been really cool to learn how virtual American Airlines operate im sure they tried to make it as true to life as possible and I like that about them, they are a really good group and I highly recommend if you are just starting your virtual airline Journey.

Pretty good airline, can fly any heritage livery you want (like a PSA smiling plane). Featured destinations are neat, you get bonus points for flying there. Discord is very active, friendly people.

One of the best Virtual Airlines, If not the best I have ever flown, there is a nice progression system with ranks, the training for cadet is great and complete. Their Discord channel is very active, staff are nice and helpful. A lots of routes are available and there are very good events. I highly recommend this VA if you want to fly in North America, an incredible flight simulation experience.

I think American Virtual is easily one of if not the best virtual airline. All the people there are very quick and responsive. I like its rigid structure because it gives you an incentive to fly. I also enjoy the detailed things such as the finances, jumpseating and bidding for flights like real life. I enjoy being part of this airline and hope to achieve the rank of captain soon.

American Virtual has been a positive experience with both web tools for route and flight planning and an active Discord community for interaction. The Web site is easy to use, and they are constantly adding now features and improvements. Routs are easy to find in the Airline Explore and can be filtered by aircraft model as well. The discord community is active and if you have questions, they are quickly answered.

American Virtual is great for those who are looking for North American Ops or some of the codeshares that American Airlines has. There is a nice progression system with hours that would allow someone to have something to work forward to. For example, after you progress through ranks you can get more routes with the larger aircraft. There is a new dispatch system as well which involves members of our community to get acars similar to how real world pilots would get them. You should give them a try!

Modern, friendly, active. What more could you ask for in a Virtual Airline. I have been with many but this is hands down THE BEST! Their Discord channel is active and the staff works hard to keep the pilots engaged. This is not your run of the mill automated airline, it takes effort and commitment to work your way up which makes the entire experience so worthwhile and rewarding. I have seen nothing else like them out there.

A fantastic virtual airline; one of the best I have flown with over many years of flightsimming. The various tools used to select and plan a flight are superb and make for a very professional experience. The management are very responsive and extremely helpful. Communication is regular, giving pilots the feeling of being a genuine part of the organisation. This is something that maintains the enthusiasm and motivation to fly but that I have found to be lacking in many other VA’s.
