Airwego - Flying the Compass
Airwego Press Release
April 2017
The first three months of 2017 have seen a consolidation of operations within the Airwego Group with a focus on ensuring the key projects launched last year continue to achieve their objectives.
With “Norge†now well established and offering routes from both Bodo and Bergen our crew now have nearly one thousand flights to choose from across our network of bases from Aberdeen, Bristol, East Midlands, Humberside, Manchester, Southend, San Juan, Stansted and Palermo with all sectors supported by a comprehensive suite of flight-plans for not just the default “GPS†of FS9 / FSX but also PMDG, Majestic Dash, Qualitywings and Aerosoft.
Pilot recruitment has seen a steady flow of new pilots joining Airwego but importantly the number of active pilots within the roster has improved. This increased activity has filtered through to both the social media accounts and forum with with both outlets “buzzing†with activity. Notably several videos of Airwego flights have been published with many positive comments being posted.
2017 hasn’t been without it’s new projects as Airwego continues to develop. With the retirement of the B757-200 from our mainstream fleet the aircraft has been put into service as part of our brand new “high end luxury charter†division - AirweGOLD.
‘GOLD will be offering a series of tours across the continents visiting key locations using the B757-200 with a “virtually refitted†cabin carrying just thirty eight passengers.
Each tour will be supported with extensive documentation included flight-plans, scenery list and a “Travel Brochure†which will feature detail on each stop on the tour. The first tour to be published, and available now, covers Australasia and Oceania.
With Spring arriving across our bases in the United Kingdom flights to the Canary Islands and Mediterranean holiday destinations have returned to our schedule. These flights, previously flown under our “Sunspots†brand, mirror those offered by real world tour operators and will fly thousands of virtual holiday makers away from their daily lives for a precious few weeks in the sunshine!
The next few months will see a review of both our long-haul and cargo schedules with plans to introduce new destinations to both. Our cargo schedule utilises both the MD-11 (iFDG & PMDG) and the B757-200 (POSKY and Qualitywings) but plans to introduce new routes will see the requirement for a new aircraft type to join the fleet.
Airwego offers a relaxed environment in which to enjoy flight simulation. We have no minimum requirements to join our VA nor is there any entrance exam. If you wish to fly with a virtual airline that can help you expand your knowledge of virtual aviation and meet like minded people then why not visit our website?
Thank you.

Ryanair Virtual is just one of many virtual airlines that exist in the world of aviation simulation. From Delta Virtual Airlines and SkyTeam Virtual to Lufthansa Virtual and EasyJet Virtual, there is no shortage of options when it comes to joining a virtual airline. Many of the major airlines are represented in the virtual world, such as Southwest Virtual Airlines, United Virtual Airlines, Emirates Virtual, Delta Virtual, British Airways Virtual, KLM Virtual, and American Airlines Virtual.
For those who are new to the world of aviation simulation, virtual airlines are organizations that simulate the operations of a real-world airline using flight simulation software. Members of a virtual airline can fly scheduled flights, take part in events, and interact with other virtual pilots. These organizations often have strict guidelines and procedures in place to ensure that flights are conducted as realistically as possible.
Virtual airlines can be found on a variety of different platforms, including VATSIM Virtual Airlines, FS2020 Virtual Airlines, and IVAO Virtual Airlines. Some virtual airlines are dedicated to specific types of flights, such as FedEx Virtual Airlines for cargo operations or Air Canada Virtual for flights within Canada.
Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines is another popular flight simulation game that has a thriving virtual airline community. Infinite Flight Virtual Airlines are created and operated by players within the game and can range from small regional airlines to global carriers like Air France Virtual and Cargolux Virtual. Additionally, there are Cargo Virtual Airlines like UPS Virtual Airlines and Wizz Air Virtual, which focus on cargo operations.
Virtual airlines are not just limited to commercial airlines. There are also MSFS Virtual Airlines that are specifically tailored to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, like the ones listed on VAMSYS Airlines List. These virtual airlines provide a great way for pilots to hone their skills and explore the world of aviation simulation.
With so many virtual airlines to choose from, it can be difficult to know which one to join. Many virtual airlines have their own ranking systems and awards, so it's important to do your research and find the one that best fits your interests and skill level. Whether you're a seasoned virtual pilot or just starting out, there's a virtual airline out there that's perfect for you. So why not take to the skies and join the ranks of the best virtual airlines today?
